From forums: Cy98, CY99 and CY00 are transition years as Yako converted to making the thin bodied, narrow neck Affinity's. Their earlier guitars, the NC / YN series had wholly different specs including the late '96 & 97 Affinity's. An NC6 or NC7 Affinity have full size bodies, 22 frets and 43.2mm at the nut. Transition years can be varied parts similar to older models and newer different spec parts. Some can have a narrower neck at the nut but still have the previous standard of 22 frets. Those three years can be all over the place, it's hard to pin down all the variations.
